Gayle was born to Esther (Whitmore) and Jefferson Bradley Jensen. She attended Jordan High and graduated from Brigham Young University in elementary education. It was there that she met her sweetheart M. Scott Hathaway. They married in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple August 4, 1961. Gayle filled her life with the things she loved. Spending time with family and friends, dancing, singing, collecting dolls and giving anyone a hug who needed one. She was known for giving out pennies to encourage young people to maintain high standards in their lives. She will be missed by Scott Hathaway, Jeffrey (son) and Monica Hathaway, Stephanie (dtr) and Jeff Bunker, Valerie (dtr) and Ken Baughman, and 6 grandchildren, Chelsey, Joshua and Zachary Bunker, Jenna and Kody Baughman, and Hunter Hathaway, sisters Annette Emery and Diann Smith and brother Verl Jensen (dec). In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by Scott to donate to the LDS church Perpetual Education Fund in honor of Gayle. Friends are invited to attend services Saturday, June 16, 2012, 10AM at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Roseville 2nd Ward Chapel (8583 Watt Ave., Antelope, CA).
