NYGREN, Phyllis May
Passed away in Fair Oaks, on May 31, 2012. She was born on September 10, 1931 in Chico, CA. Preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Orilla Holtsman, and 3 siblings, Clyde, Rebecca and Frank. She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Dick, and 3 daughters, Sheryl Meadows (Ted), Ramona Balfour (Mike) and Cynthia Soares (Anthony). A graduate of San Juan High School class of 1948 she went on to work for many years for SJUSD as a school cafeteria cook manager and was remembered fondly for her infamous cookies. She lived life to the fullest, traveling extensively in Europe, South America, Australia/New Zealand, rounding out her travels by having visited all 50 states. She forged lasting relationships and since high school was a member of the 'Friday Niters', a group that met regularly to share crafting and coffee. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Friends and family are welcome to join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 23rd 1:00 pm @ Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Avenue, Carmichael, CA.
