MARTY, Diane D. (Skalisky)
Diane (63) passed peacefully in her sleep on April 21, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born November 10, 1948 in Sacramento, CA, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Marty, her father, Lester Skalisky, Sr. and her brother Gary Lee Skalisky. Diane is survived by her husband of 44 years Joseph Edward Marty, 2 sons: Jason Joseph (Tara) Marty and Justin Douglas Marty, grandchildren: Roman & Hayden Marty and Lexy Plishka-Marty. She is also survived by her mother Delores Jacob-Skalisky, sisters DeVonne (Randy) Gillan & Debbie Skalisky, brother Les Skalisky, all of Sacramento; and numerous other relatives.
Diane was a graduate of Encina High School (class of '66), where she had many friends. She loved life and loved being the 'life of the party!' She was also an active member of the LDS Church. During her life, she lobbied at the CA State Capitol for women's and children's rights, owned a modeling agency, was a real estate agent, and an esthetician. She was appointed to the Fair Oaks, CA Planning Advisory Board and was involved with the founding of the American River Bank of Fair Oaks.
Diane will be missed by many, but never forgotten! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the LDS Church at 1275 Green Valley Rd., El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. See www.dianemarty.com for more info.
