 Ben was born in Rancho De Taos, New Mexico on July 13, 1931; he died in his home in Elk Grove CA on June 3, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lupita Maestas; daughter Mary Maestas -Sandoval; sons, Rudy Maestas, Ben Maestas, Richard Maestas; grandchildren, Joseph Sandoval, Jonathan Sandoval, Zoe Maestas, Michael Maestas, Stephanie Maestas, Joshua Maestas, Jeremy Maestas; and seven great-grandchildren. He was best known for being a great husband, loving father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Berkeley University and worked for the Federal Government as EEO Consultant. He always inspired his children and grandchildren to succeed. He loved his family. He will no longer suffer and God has called him home!
