CROSS, LYNN (Billie) September 21, 1911 - June 5, 2012 Long-time resident Joycelyn (Lynn) Cross passed away peacefully at age 100. Lynn was called Billie in her younger life. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and later moved to Chicago and attended St. Cecelia's Academy in Nashville, Tenn. She met her future husband at the University of New Mexico. They lived throughout the southwest where Warren worked as a civil engineer. In 1942 they moved to Sacramento. Lynn loved Sacramento and set about making great friends. She was at one time in five bridge clubs! Home and family were very important in her life. She was able to stay in her home on her own until she was 98 years old. Her final years were spent at Embracing Arms Care Home in Fair Oaks where she was treated with love and respect and where she preferred to be called Billie. Lynn (Billie) is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Cross Schilling of Sacramento, and Marion Cross Silva of Fair Oaks; two grandsons, Jeff Silva and wife Cori of El Dorado Hills, and Brian Silva and wife Emily of Sacramento; great grandchildren, Tyler and Danny Silva of El Dorado Hills, and Haley, Claire and Evan Silva of Sacramento.
