NUNEZ, Daniel (Nelo) J.
Born December 22, 1929, in Benicia, CA, and resided in Sacramento. Passed away June 6, 2012 at age 82, at the Windsor Elk Grove Care Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. After serving 2 years in the Army, he moved to San Francisco to continue his education in art. Later moved to El Cerrito when he went to work for UC Berkeley. After retirement, moved to Albany then returned to Sacramento. He liked watching sports, especially Cal, reading, art museums and going for walks. He is survived by 8 brothers and sisters, Julian (Marylou), Nina (Luis), Amelia (the late Gregory), Rachel (David), Dolores (Robert), Amparo (Frank), Rudy (Marlene), Louie (MaryEllen); and many nephews, nieces. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his father Luis Nunez; mother Francisca Nunez of Sacramento; and his companian Ruth Lasnik of Albany. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 711 T Street, Sacramento on June 21, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue.
