ANGELO, Louise Elizabeth Lowder Biegel
Louise Elizabeth Lowder Biegel Angelo, born March 23, 1924 in Cabarrus County, NC to Mary Elizabeth Cline Lowder and Leander Maylon Lowder, passed away June 17, 2012 at the age of 88.
Louise was married to Robert H. Biegel, on Jan 4, 1942 in Santa Rosa, CA. They lived happily together for 39 years until he passed away in Dec. 1981. They have three children Robert H. Biegel Jr., Jerry Laine Biegel Steward (Hal), and Judith Van Brookhoven Biegel. Louise thought of Hal as her own son, not just a son-in-law. Louise also has five grandchildren, Jessica Louise Steward, Erin Dru Biegel, Jennifer Elizabeth Steward, Robert Casey Van Brookhoven, and Kaylan Mary Van Brookhoven. To her great grandson, Jayden Lloyd Steward, who was the light of her life and gave her much joy for the last 6 years, she was 'GG.'
Louise subsequently married Amadio F. Angelo on Mar. 24, 1984 and remained together until his death in Sept. 1994. Louise is survived by four step children, Bill Angelo, Linda Angelo Rustica, Connie Angelo Stiles, Amie Angelo, and 12 step grandchildren.
Louise was the 'Bass Queen' on the Sacramento River where she and both husbands enjoyed boating and fishing. She was an avid camper (motor-home) fisherwoman. Her other hobbies were needlework, knitting, quilting, and sewing. She was an archivist and spent much time using her computer to work on family genealogy and to write her memoirs, 'The Story of Louise.' Louise lived a total of 34 years in the Sacramento area and retired from Civil Service at McClellan AFB.
The Queen may be gone, but she will never, be forgotten. Louise was a True Lady and great role model for her entire family.
Private (family only) viewing Thursday June 21, 2012 6:00 to 8:00 Services will be at Ascension Lutheran Church 10:00 AM and Friday June 22, 2012 Interment following at EAST LAWN, Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights.
Mom always wanted a bell for the church. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances, for that purpose, to Ascension Lutheran Church, 7607 Garden Gate Citrus Heights, CA 95621.
