FRENCH, Daniel J.
Passed away at his home in Sacramento on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at age 82. Dan was born on November 1, 1929, in Chicago, IL.

Graduated DePaul University in 1947, majoring in accounting. He joined the USAF in 1948 and served a total of seven years, including reserve status, retiring as a staff sergeant. Dan became a certified public accountant. He was CEO of Cal Western Life (Sacramento) and Hawaiian Life (Oahu, HI) until his retirement in 1988.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marcy, his daughter, Lorraine, and sons, Dan (Corie), Tom (Malinda), Mike, and Bill (deceased), six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His pride and joy were his family and friends. He was a member of the All Saints Mr. & Mrs. Club for many years and was very active in United Way.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 22nd at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish, 4123 Robertson Avenue, Sacramento. A private burial will follow. Dan will be laid to rest in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul in care of Presentation Parish.
