PIERCE, Charlene Elizabeth
Was born in Kansas City, Missouri, November 2, 1924. She joined the angels on June 22, 2012, at the age of 87. A resident of California since 1956, she and her late husband, Roy Pierce, resided in Rancho Cordova over 41 years. Charlene was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Williams, and a half sister, Rita Hale. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Vickie Smith; devoted son-in-law, Robert Smith; adoring granddaughter, Jennifer Maxine Smith ('her precious'); daughters '2 and 3,' Kathy Lucchesi (Mark) and Judy Perez (Jim) and their families. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cub and Carol Pierce of Ennis, Texas, also survive her as well as longtime neighbors, Ron and Gloria Porteous. Her first husband, Jack Sprinkle, also preceded her in death in 2004, and his widow, Jo Van, resides in Oregon. Charlene loved to travel, crochet, and work crossword puzzles. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 2:00pm, at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA.
