Betty passed away on June 24 after 94+years of a good long life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bob Dunlap and her sister, Margaret Cummings. Betty is survived by her three daughters, Mary Russo, Jeanne (Denis) Thomson, Connie (Jake) Jacobsen, and her "favorite" son Tom (Nancy). She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Gia and Tony Russo and Lowell and Warren Thomson. Betty was born in Seattle on July 9, 1917, to James and Genevieve Playmen. She moved to San Francisco during World War II along with many women of her generation. She met Bob on a blind date on October 25, 1946 and they were married on December 19, 1946. The USAF took them around the world and with their four children they embarked on a life filled with great experiences. She was an accomplished secretary working both in the private sector and Civil Service. Betty was often the backbone of the offices in which he worked. Betty and Bob's retirement years were full of travel and good times with family and friends. The family would like to thank Sylvia Rusti and her husband, Vic, of Sylvia's Home Care in Roseville for their loving and professional care. Our family will never forget all you did for Betty. Private internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento.
