Born July 23, 1926 in Tiptonvile, Tenn and passed July 8, 2012 in Sacramento.
Eleanor was a very independent woman. She was one of the first older women returning to college to receive her BS degree from Sacramento State. She was also a former secretary to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.
Survived by her children Craig Blankenship (Pam) and Becky Goff (Carl). She was predeceased by her husband Willard (Pete) and her son Scott. She is also survived by her niece Amy Pleasant (Charlie Ackers) of Seattle.
In addition, she is also survived by her Bedlington terrier Skye and her very good friend of 40 years and conservator Harvey Robinson and by her faithful caregiver Cynthia Martinez.
No services are planned with her ashes scattered near her home Quail Crossing, Irish Beach on the Mendocino Coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
