Of Sacramento, CA, September 11, 2012, a native of Preston, ID, age 74 years. Husband of Betty Shaffer. Father of Susan Shaffer, Serena Shaffer, Saralyn Shaffer and Steven (Tisha) Shaffer. Grandfather of Marisa, Miranda, Mariana and M'Arlee. Son of the late LeRoy Shaffer, Pearl Shaffer Christensen and step-father Ruben Christensen. Brother of Roene VanNoy, Sherry Jackson, Marsha Pilgeram and the late Brent Christensen, Arlee Bales and Cosette Shaffer. Taught High School for the SCUSD for 35 years. Friends are welcome for visitation September 14, 2012, from 4-8PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., 725-2109) and are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, September 22, 2012, 10AM at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Florin Ward Chapel (8580 Florin Rd., Sacramento).
