BRUNS, Lavonne A.
Lavonne was born August 14, 1926 in Lake Andes, South Dakota to Clarence and Alvina Pederson. The family came to Sacramento in October, 1937. Lavonne is predeceased by husband of 56 years Jack Bruns, her parents and 4 siblings. She is survived by brother Carl Pederson and sons & daughters Harry (Jan), Gloria Rogers (Tracy), Patti Pomeroy, Laura Bruns, Randy (Patty). Their families include 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Lavonne and Jack raised their family in Sacramento, enjoying boating & water skiing on the Sacramento River. She worked for DMV vehicle registration and later co-founded Bruns Flooring Supply with Jack. She enjoyed family gatherings that included her great home cooking, swimming and homemade ice cream. Vacationing on cruises and some overseas trips were enjoyed with friends. She loved to attend Kings games, and remained an avid fan watching the games with family. Lavonne and Jack enjoyed many years vacationing and spending weekends at their home in Lake Tahoe. She spent the last 6 years in Chico. Graveside services will be held at East Lawn Cemetery at 43rd & Folsom Boulevard on Friday October 5, 2012 at 11am.
