BUCKLEY, Peter T.
CMSGT (Retired)
Beloved father and grandfather, CMSGT Peter T. Buckley passed away peacefully in the Lord's care on Oct. 1st, 2012. Peter was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Peter A. and Mary Buckley and was one of nine children. He grew up during the Great Depression but as with everything Pete did in life, he kept a positive outlook that 'things work out.'

CMSGT Buckley was a decorated and respected Army and Air Force Veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. Through his 30 year dedicated service to his country, he traveled the world and had an unbelievable passion for people and life while maintaining freedom and liberty for the country he loved.

In retirement, he was devoted to his family, friends and faith. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his grandchildren, Michelle, Marissa, Ben and Russell, who were his pride and joy. As a father, he provided guidance and wisdom to his son Patrick and daughter-in-law Jeri. He loved to socialize through his morning coffee gatherings, to having 'a cold one' with his neighborhood friends at holiday feasts. He also was a dedicated member of St. John Vianney and had unyielding faith in God.

Peter will be truly missed by all; he always touched people with his smile and caring nature, and assisted others wherever and whenever he could. Finally, he will be with his wife, Masako, for all eternity.

Services will be held at St. John Vianney Parish on Thurs., Oct. 4, 10am, at 10499 Coloma Rd., Rancho Cordova. Private interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
