Born Feb. 28, 1934, in Emporia, VA, passed away in Carmichael, CA Sept. 28, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing three children: Edward (Gigliola), Sharon (Larry Sr.) and Nathaniel Jr. (Martha); grandchildren, Camilla, Larry Jr., Tracy, Jamee, Kelsea, DeMarco; great-grandchildren, Aniyah and Jamarcus; his sister, Cherry Anderson; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hawthorne. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento and are invited to attend Funeral Services Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 6612 Woodbine Ave., Sacramento. Funeral Services and burial with full Military Honors will be conducted in Emporia, Virginia. Remembrances in his memory to VFW Post 85, 7215 Lindale Dr., Sacramento, CA 95828.
