Marjorie was the widow of Herlan O. Loyd, M.D., mother to Marlene Lee and Lavetta McCune, grandmother of four and great-grandmother of nine. A memorial service will be held at Pioneer Congregational United Church of Christ, 2700 L Street in Sacramento on October 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following. On street parking or free parking in the garage at 27th & N. Instead of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Hibbard E. Williams Foundation, c/o U.C. Davis Medical Center, 2315 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817. The foundation was established by H. O. and Marjorie Loyd to help teach medical students, nurses and doctors about their patients need for social, economic and religious care, which often outweighs medical needs.
