SMITH, Carolyn E.
Born in Alton, CA April 7, 1924. Carolyn 'Smitty' to her co-workers and friends, left this life on October 3, 2012 due to complications of a fall suffered in her own home on October 1, 2012. A loving, caring wife and mother, she was always quick to take in any stray cat, or rescue any baby bird or squirrel that happened to be abandoned or fall out of its nest, often to raise it to an adult and release it back to freedom and life. Survived by her sons, Marvin (Janet) Smith of Spokane, WA and Mitchell (Melanie) Smith of Sacramento, CA; grandson, Nicholas Smith and family of Spokane, WA. She will be sorely missed by both friends and family, love and peace to all concerned. Friends are welcome for visitation Monday, October 8, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and also the Funeral Service, 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the GEORGE L. KLUMPP CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, Riverside Boulevard and 2nd Avenue. Interment to follow at East Lawn Sierra Hills, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841.
