DAMON, Albert E.
Of Carmichael passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 surrounded by his family. Al was born November 4, 1930 in Sacramento to Albert J. and Evelyn M. Damon. He grew up on a ranch on Damon Avenue and graduated from San Juan High School in 1948. Al spent one year in submarine duty with the Navy. He returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Betty Ann Glassel, on August 17, 1950. In 1950 Al started his grocery career with Cardinal Inks, which became Lucky Stores, and retired in 1988. Al is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Ann; daughter Debra Fraizer (Lanny); son Todd Damon (Tina); sister Sharon Cipolla; grandchildren: Spencer, Tyrone, Craig, Alyssa, Nicole and Kyle; and great grandchildren Spencer and Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doreen Rehberger. Services will be held at East Lawn Sierra Hills, 5757 Greenback Lane, Thursday, October 11th at 1:00 p.m. Contributions to Mercy Hospice.
