 A native of Marysville, CA, Jane passed away in Sacramento, on October 5, 2012. She was preceded in death by husband, Bill Calvin, and is also survived by her children Robert Calvin and Jacquelyn Strong, son-in-law Charles Strong, and grandchildren Lauren and Courtney Strong. She was a second generation Californian who was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports and spending time with family. Jane was 94 years old and a 70-year resident of Sacramento. She attended U.C. Berkeley on a partial scholarship and worked in the banking industry. She met her husband Bill while working at the Army Corps. of Engineers and they were married in 1942. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who always put her family first. Friends are welcome for visitation Thursday, October 11, 2012, from noon until 3:00 pm, at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 1:00 pm at Sutter City Cemetery, 7200 Butte Avenue, Sutter, CA.
