
JOHNSTON, Dorothy Audsley

Dorothy Johnston peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from natural causes with her loving daughters by her side. Dorothy was born in Kent, England on November 29, 1916 and came to the United States with her parents and siblings in 1922.
Dorothy spent her life taking care of and loving her family. She was happily married to her husband Russell for 75 years. After moving to the U.S., she lived in many areas of California, Hillsborough in the Bay Area and in the Santa Cruz mountains. She was a member of Eastern Star - Santa Cruz Chapter while she lived in the Ben Lomond area. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell M. Johnston; brother, Richard Audsley (Mary); sister, Marjorie Audsley Deremer (George); sister-in-law, Dicie Audsley; nieces: Joan Deremer Scallabrino, Sharon Johnston Owens, Nancy Sheik Banfield, and nephew, Geoffry Audsley. Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Susan Jolly of Lincoln, CA and Sandra Derby also of Lincoln, CA; four grandchildren: Kimberly Derby of Pacific Palisades, CA, Kevin Derby (Kristi) of Rocklin, CA, David Jolly of Belmont, CA, and Katherine Jolly of Crowley, TX; two great-grandchildren: Jack Johnston Derby (7) and Rose Sullivan Derby (6) of Rocklin, CA; brother, Geoff Audsley of Evergreen, CO; nieces: Patricia Deremer Challburg (Bob), Debbie Audsley Griffin, and Shirley Pitts Fear (Rodger); nephews: Richard Audsley (Annie), Sidney Johnston (Naomi), Steven Pitts (Margaret), and Robert Banfield.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012, 3pm, at 2603 Warbler Ln., Lincoln CA 95648.
