Fred W. Young Sr passed away on October 7 after a year long struggle with a rare liver disorder. Fred loved racing motorcycles, sprint cars and later was happy building and riding his custom Harley on trips with his friends. Fred worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for over 30 years and after retiring he moved to the Foothills and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandbabies who he adored! Great pain came into Fred's life with the death of his son Justin in 2005. Fred is survived by his children Freddy (Lacy) his grandchildren Zara, Ash and Banny), Rachelle and Dominick, as well as his parents James and Carol, his sisters Connie (John), and Sharon (David) and his brother Gerald (Diana). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial for Fred will be held Saturday, October 13 at the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah's Witnesses at 244 Canyon Way, Colfax at 2:30pm.
