 HEWETT, Betty Ann Most Betty Ann Most Hewett, 78, was born to Lola Catherine Nelms and Fred Dinsmore Most on May 6, 1934, in Tacoma, WA. After valiantly fighting breast cancer, always maintaining her will to live, and with her family by her side, she passed away on October 4, 2012, in Applegate, California.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harding Hewett, both her parents, her brother, George Nelms Most, and her sister, Marie Katherine Scott.
Betty is survived by her children: Linda Johnson of El Dorado Hills, CA, Steven (Carolyn) Hewett of Citrus Heights, CA, David Hewett of Cool, CA, and Larry Hewett (Laurie Amantea) of Pollock Pines, CA. Also survived by 13 grandchildren: Skip (Melissa) Johnson of El Dorado Hills, CA, Julie (Andrew) Mering of Folsom, CA, Ryan (Audrey) Johnson of Napa, CA, Adriana (Adam) Newton of Susanville, CA, Forrest Hewett (Kasssie Kaufman) and Larry Hewett, Jr. of Pollock Pines, CA, Christa Hewett of Berkeley, CA, Stephanie Biles (Richard) of Branson, MO, Mitchell and Travis Hewett of Branson, MO, Amanda Hewett of Cave Creek, AZ, and Robert and Catherine Hewett of Citrus Heights, CA and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many, many special friends.
Betty enjoyed many hobbies, including china painting, doll making, genealogy, ceramics, cookbook collecting, travel, and gardening. She went to Laughlin for many years to escape the Sacramento Valley heat and meet up with great old friends and new friends. She was fortunate to have travel to most every state in the US.
