A lifelong resident of Sacramento passed away on November 16, 2012 after a nearly 40-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Ginger was born on April 27, 1945 in Sacramento. She graduated from La Sierra High School '62, where she was voted Homecoming Queen and was Head Cheerleader. She also had a passion for competitive swimming at the Del Norte Swim/Tennis Club and studied at the Academy of Art College - Oakland. Ginger shared her love of gardening, travel and the creative arts with her kids. Her travels took her to so many National Parks and natural wonders across the US and Canada, to Guatemala, the UK and her favorite, Ireland. She was preceded in death by her husband Luis Lago, both of her parents, Gordon (Johnny) Roger Johnson, Sr. and Marie V. Johnson and her brother Gordon (Skip) Roger Johnson, Jr. Ginger leaves behind, her children, Jody Pribyl and Jason Pribyl, and granddaughter Sarah. A celebration of her life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00pm at her home in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sacramento Tree Foundation.
