LYNCH, Joretta Cherry
Joretta was born on April 8, 1932, in Monroe County, Indiana and grew up on a farm. She met her husband, Jack, while they were both attending Indiana State Teachers' College, and they were married just a few months later. During their 50-year marriage, Joretta and Jack lived in Indiana, Arizona, and California. They raised 3 kids and semi-adopted several others. For many years, they hosted wonderful Christmas Eve parties that are still fondly recalled. On December 9, Joretta died of complications arising from Alzheimer's dementia.
Joretta was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, Duane and Marjorie Cherry, her brother, James Cherry and her sister, Janet Hackett Taylor. She is survived by her three children, Shelley (and Kristian) Leide-Lynch, Kelly (and Debby) Lynch, and Mark Lynch, her grandchildren, Dori Swaney, Elizabeth and Dale Olson, and Joey Lynch, her great grandchildren, Raquel, Jacob, Donald, Brian, Hoyce, and Nicole Swaney, and her beloved dog, Juno.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Joretta's life being held on Saturday, December 29, 1:00 to 3:00 at the Old Library Building at 4200 Temescal St, Fair Oaks (near Fair Oaks Village Park).
