Beloved wife and mother, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 in Sacramento at the age of 80, with her daughter by her bedside. Born March 12, 1932 in Canonsburg, PA, the daughter of the late John and Helen Kartik, Goldie married her high school sweetheart, Jack Addobati on June 23, 1951. They moved to Sacramento in 1952. Together for 48 years, they made Sacramento their home where they raised their two children. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hubbert, Shanley and Lee, Attorneys at Law for several years, retiring in 1994. Goldie seemed much younger than her 80 years. She was very active up until her last days, going to church, movies, aerobics, bowling and playing pinocle. She was truly special and we are grateful she touched our lives with her wonderful spirit, sweetness and spunk. She will be greatly missed.
Goldie was predeceased by her son Michael in 1988, and her beloved husband Jack in 1999. She is survived by her daughter Victoria, cousin Irene Addobati, brother in law Bob Addobati, and numerous loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 2pm at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 5057 Cottage Way, Carmichael, CA 95608. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Mercy General Hospital's Heart and Vascular Institute or the SPCA. Private interment to be held at East Lawn Memorial Park in Sacramento.
