FRANCE, William Roy
Quietly passed away at his home in West Sacramento, CA on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Born in Sacramento, California on May 25, 1932. Bill was married to Susan Lynn (Sether) France for 49 years. Preceded in death by his adopted parents Mr. and Mrs. Whitlock, brother LeRoy, brother-in-law Dave Brubeck, mother-in-law Velda Sether, sisters-in-law Jeanie Wilmoth, Sharon Bagley, Judy McKown, Joan Deus & Laurel Sether. Bill is also survived by his sister Iola Brubeck, sister- in-law Lynda (James) Harris & brother-in-law Roger Bagley. Survived by seven nieces, Ahnle (Kenneth) Farris, Valerie (Ron) Eichhorn, Kristine Bright, Lisa Deus, Andrea (Douglas) Baker, Valene Eichhorn, and Lauren Bright; and five nephews, Lee Bagley, Eddie McKown, Adrian (Jayme) McKown, Jared Eichhorn, and Mathias Sigurd McKown. Bill worked on various dams, tunnels & highway projects throughout California. He retired from the Teamsters Local #150 and then worked for Don Manley & Son's where he retired in 2005, at the age of 73. He enjoyed fishing, hunting & camping with family & friends. All are invited to attend a Celebration Of Life Service at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1701 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 (916) 444-0874 on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Interment will take place in Jackson, Minnesota. Memorials preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church.
