CAMPBELL, Douglas M.
Doug passed away at 74 years old after a short battle with lung and brain cancer. The only child to Jacqueline and Bruce Campbell. He knew as a small boy, he wanted to be an Engineer. The family settled in the Bay area where Doug attended school in Pleasant Hill. There he met and married JoAnn Virginia Weston who preceded him in death in 2007. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1957 with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After a successful career in Engineering and Computer programming with Aerojet General Aerospace Company. He started his own company Westco Engineering and continued with PDA and MSC Engineering computer software companies. Doug loved cars, sailing, bridge, and bowling. He was passionate about politics and loved a good debate! Doug is survived by his current wife and companion Carolyn, with whom he loved to travel; his children, Robin Hays, Greg Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Rebecca Russell, Marianne Lynch (Christopher); step children, Kim Williams, Lisa Boatman (Randy), Jill Perez (Armando); grandchildren, Blake, Ashley, Conner, Dylan, Haley, Devyn; step grandchildren, Phil, Patrick, Sarah, Christopher and Alyssa; two great grandchildren Jocelyn and Ryan.
