MARLOW, Gari Ann Dill
An award-winning, Arabian Horse breeder, died on December 4 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born a Connecticut Yankee on December 8, about 67 years ago. She lived in Fair Oaks for a majority of her life.

She leaves behind a legacy of beautiful, gentle, and strong Arabians, specifically, Rushan, Antham, Cariala, Carabella, Tapestry, and Caramia. Her 1981 goals of breeding the most beautiful, gentle and physical Arabians and to assist other breeders with this task was met. Gari was recognized internationally for her knowledge and expertise of the Arabian bloodlines. For instance, just in 2011, Diamond Ruler L, Rushan's offspring, won the Virginia City 100, an endurance ride. She is survived by two half-siblings, John and Elaine Dill.

A memorial of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacramento Horsemen's Association, 3200 Longview Drive, Sacramento on January 12.
