BARRAGAN, Claude A.
Passed away December 15, 2012 in Yountville, CA following a brief illness. Claude was born in Sacramento, CA December 18, 1928 to Claudio and Josepha (Alejo) Barragan. Graduated from Sacramento High School in 1947. Served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. during the Korean War. An avid sports fan he was active in local baseball as a young man. Retired from the San Juan Unified School District in the maintenance department.
Preceded in death by his parents, son, James Barragan, brothers, Juan Jose Alejo and Vincent Barragan, sister, Mary Barragan. Survived by his son, Andrew, sisters, Josephine O'Connell and Caroline Barragan, brother, Facundo A. (Cuno) Barragan (Karla), sisterS-in-law Mabel Alejo and Niki Barragan.
The family would like to thank Yountville Veterans Home for the care and love they bestowed upon Claude for the past 9 years. We especially want to thank the staff in Ward 2D, Social worker John Spremich and Napa Valley Hospice for their support and kindness to Claude.
At his request there will be no services.
