CECCON, Helen L.
Helen passed away on January 30, 2013 at the age of 95.
A California native, she grew up on dairies in Chico and the Colusa County area before moving to the Bay Area and eventually settling in San Francisco for the next 20 years. After retiring from work at Western Pacific Railroad, she returned to Northern California and for the past 26 years has shared a home with her daughter Linda Ceccon in Fair Oaks, near her brother Harold Dirks and her sister Dolly Oswald.
She will be dearly missed and forever loved by Linda, Harold, Dolly, and her sisters-in-law Marion Dirks of Maxwell, Angie Dirks of Oroville, Adeline Lathrop of Grants Pass, Oregon, and her dear friend Oksana Klinshpon of Antelope, and many nephews and nieces. Two beloved brothers, Bill and Donald, and her husband Marino Ceccon preceded her in death.
Helen loved drawing, music, and gardening, but most of all she loved animals. If ever there were a cat or dog in need of care or nurturing, the animal found a home with Helen. The SPCA and Defenders of Wildlife were two of her favorite organizations.
