We have just learned of John's passing and the Melchionda Family would like to express our sincere condolences. Many years ago, we were introduced to John by an extended family member. John then photographed our wedding. Having been transferred to the Midwest, we made the trek back to California so we would have John join us to remember how our family started in Sacramento and how it was now growing as we gathered together at William Land Park for a special family photograph.
He was a warm and kind spirit who always had a positive thought on everything, as well as a true friend who will be sorely missed.
We will always have John with us, since we see his work every time we look at the numerous photos on display in our home. We will forever cherish is memory, friendship and his images of life that we carry with us.

My heart breaks to learn of my Bricklin fella passing. I met John while I was attending and running Sacramento Eurosunday chapter. He warmed my heart with photography stories and cars and more. He made us all smile every time he pulled up. We always had a laugh when he would drive his wife's VW to an event and park next to my Hummer. I will miss the man a great deal. Enjoy the heavens John. Say hi to my Mom again up there. You made an unforgettable impression on me forever. Good bye kid.

John stood in the middle of Fair Oaks Blvd. to take this pic of all of his buddies @ Body And Power Health Club back in the 1980's <3

I have the fondest memories of John. Back in the 1980's we belonged to the same health club in Carmichael. John was a master at taking photographs for all of the local bodybuilders. Everyone loved his warm and friendly personality...He would always greet me with a "Hello Kid!"...very special man indeed. I have a few dozen gorgeous pics that John had taken for me A wonderfully gifted man that will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Our family (Lester's of NPC), once had a portrait sitting at Mr. Worsley's studio. We had a fabulous time, he made us laugh and the pictures were priceless!

Its been 30 years since I had John take my bodybuilding photos before my contest in the Mr. Sacramento 1983.
Everybody who was in bodybuilding used John. R.I.P my friend and thanks for the memories.
