VARGAS, Lillian Patricia
Sadly, our Mother journeyed peacefully on September 30, 2013. Born on Saint Patrick's Day - 1921, in Yuma, Arizona, she moved to Sacramento in 1941. She was preceded in death by our loving Father Mario in 2005, after 67 years of marriage. The second born of six children she leaves her only surviving sibling, Santos Flores of San Francisco and many nieces and nephews. Our Mother devoted her life to her husband and raising her six children to whom she tendered love, affection and protection. She collected loving friends at Saint Peter's Church where she was a devoted Parishioner. Mother cared for many children while she worked at Mark Twain Elementary School as a Playground Supervisor. And, she experienced living in Tehran, Iran, in the late seventies during Father's employment. She was an extraordinary cook and avid Giants fan. She loved to dance, draw, especially flowers. But, what our Mother loved and cherished most in her life was her children: Cecelia-Ann, Victoria (Robert), Ricardo (Priscilla), Maria-Christina, Mario E., Nicolas (Laurie). grandchildren: Vincent and Wendy Walker, Cassie and Paul Kays, Nichole Robinson (David), Mario-Ray and Eliana and great- grandson Luke Robinson. We grieve deeply at her passing and will forever think of her when we hear or see the word 'Grace.' In keeping with her wishes, a private service was held on October 5th , at Saint Mary's Cemetery. Lillian's children would like to thank Mercy Hospital Staff; Doctors Quinto, Kaku and Tajlil for their care over the years; and to the loving friends for the prayers, cards, flowers and kind words.
