MANG, Mildred 'Millie'
Gladys Mildred 'Millie' Mang went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Citrus Heights, California. Gladys Mildred Howell was born on July 14, 1922, in Dryad, Washington. She met the love of her life, Frank 'Frankie' Jay Mang while he was serving in World War II. They were married June 6, 1942, and had three sons: Douglas K. Mang, Edward J. Mang, and William C. Mang. Millie is preceded in death by her husband Frank Jay Mang, father Charles Myron Howell, and mother Edna Lucille Hoover. She is survived by her sister Lorraine Belle Coburn; Douglas (Robin), Edward (Jessica), and William (Barbara); grandchildren Michelle (Dirk) McDonald, Madison Mang, Lisa (Howard) Coates, and David Karr; great-grandchildren Zachary and Braedyn McDonald, Anthony and Zachary Coates and Joseph Karr; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.The Family of Mildred Mang would like to express our sincere appreciation for the friendship, love and care she received from family, friends and staff during her final days.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held for Millie on Thursday, March 6, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841 (916) 732-2020.
A reception will follow at Crosswood Oaks Recreation Room, 6650 Crosswoods Circle, Citrus Heights, CA. Contributions in lieu of flowers, in Millie's name, may be sent to the Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church, 5839 Dewey Drive, Citrus Heights, CA (916) 967-1414
