LUSICH, Betty
Betty's final days were spent surrounded by family and friends; and she received her angel wings on March 19, 2014, at age 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverna and Vern Wilcox, her sisters, Phyllis Cramer and Bonnie Boulware, her brother in law, Burt Senf, Sr., and her niece, Lynne Cramer. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William Lusich, her sister, Doris Senf, her brothers in law Don Cramer and Don Boulware (Rose), her children, Jeff Lusich (Shanda), Linda Overstreet (Lee), and Sandy Lusich, her grandchildren, Christopher and Mackenzie Lusich, Siena, Lauren, and Sophia Overstreet, and Lucas Pestana, and numerous loving nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. Born on September 18, 1931 in Vallejo, Betty moved to Sacramento at the age of 12. She attended Holy Angels Elementary School and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1949. In keeping with her caring nature, Betty was an oral surgeon's assistant for over 30 years, having served Doctors Carl Riemer, Richard Daby and Michael Cadra. Betty met and married her husband William in Sacramento in 1951. They raised their family in South Land Park. She was a devoted and loving parent and grandparent at Holy Spirit Parish School for nearly 50 years. A generous and loving mother figure to scores of family and friends, Grandma Betty made the people who were fortunate enough to know her feel special. She opened her home to all, regularly hosting large gatherings for holidays. Betty loved to bake (especially with her grandchildren) and shared her delicious treats with many friends and extended family members. Her loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Mass and Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive, Sacramento, CA, to be held Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11am. Arrangements made by George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95818. Private Internment. In honor of Betty's memory, donations may be made to The Society of the Blind, 1238 S St., Sacramento, CA 95811.
