LOZANO, Estela
Famous for her 'Cuban Hugs', flan and Cuban Shrimp and Rice, Estela passed away March 30, 2014. The youngest of 12 children, Estela was born November 12, 1928. She and her husband, Ramon (died 2008), came to the United States from Cuba in the late 1940's to seek the 'American Dream'. A woman of many interests, she loved traveling, cooking, entertaining, sewing, gardening but family always came first. Estela is survived by her only child Zori (Chuck), granddaughter Gina (Chris) and grandson Kyle (Nicole). Her funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 10, 11:00 a.m. at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA 95662. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of East Sacramento for the care of the McKinley Rose Garden, 3104 'O' Street, #222, Sacramento, CA 95816.
