Born in Dannebrog, NE, she later moved to Grand Island, NE where she spent most of her childhood and lived until her mid 20's. She then came to Sacramento, CA with her brother Howard. It was then that she met her husband to be Mike, and began her married life in 1948 working at the family grocery store and began raising her family. Later she worked for Woolworths for 28 years. After retiring, Lucille enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family, and continued to make a difference in her community by volunteering her time helping others.
