Born in Dannebrog, NE, she later moved to Grand Island, NE where she spent most of her childhood and lived until her mid 20's. She then came to Sacramento, CA with her brother Howard. It was then that she met her husband to be Mike, and began her married life in 1948 working at the family grocery store and began raising her family. Later she worked for Woolworths for 28 years. After retiring, Lucille enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family, and continued to make a difference in her community by volunteering her time helping others. She was always there for anyone who needed her.

During her 95 years she has nurtured the character and identity of her family and has taught each generation the important values of life. Throughout her lifetime she has demonstrated perseverance, honesty, and integrity that has earned her the great respect and loving admiration of a wide circle of family and friends.

As she was an Angel on earth, she is now an Angel in heaven. We love you Mini and will miss you forever.
