Part of a family of migrant farm workers, she met her husband, George ""Goyo"" Savala, in one of her father's labor camps. After moving several times, they eventually settled in Bryte, CA (now West Sacramento). Lola is survived by siblings Adelaida Noriega and Johnny Ledesma; her beloved daughters Hope Anaya and Sarah Najarro; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She created a legacy of serving others from cooking meals for farm workers to working with the Broderick Christian Center's Christmas Basket Project. For many years Lola helped the Senior Meals Program at the W Sac Senior Center and was involved with the St Vincent De Paul food locker and clothes closet at the Holy Cross Church. She was a permanent fixture on the youth soccer and baseball fields, helping at the snack bar and cheering for multiple generations of children within the community who affectionately called her, "Grandma Lola."
