JENSON, Beverly Vickers
Of Carmichael, CA passed away peacefully on June 11, 2014. She was born to Bowdie and Tina Vickers on Nov. 16, 1934 in Rock Island, IL; the 8th of 14 children. Beverly graduated from United Township High School in 1952. She met and later married Clarence Duane Jenson in 1953, while he was a chiropractic student and she was working as a book keeper in Illinois. In 1955 they moved to the Sacramento area and opened Dr. Jenson's chiropractic office. They were married 53 years until his death in 2007. Beverly's early life in California was filled with raising her 5 children and helping with her husband's business. A lifetime learner, Beverly returned to school later in life, receiving her BA and MA from CSU Sacramento. She taught Special Education students for 10 years at Alicante School before retiring in 2002. Beverly was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities, but especially enjoyed working with the Young Women and teaching children. She loved camping, sewing, crafts, and reading. Beverly is survived by her four children: Karen Crabtree, Eric Jenson, Jenell Garcia, and Robert Jenson; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Jim, Edward, and Dick; sisters, Pat, Sharon, and Sandra. Her daughter, Christine Jenson predeceased her.
