RANGEL, Sr., Arthur
57, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 surrounded by his beloved family after a long battle with cancer. Arthur was born on August 11, 1956 in El Paso, Texas. He eventually made his way to Sacramento where he married Patricia and started a family. He is survived by his wife Patricia; parents Ricardo and Beatrice Rangel; brothers Victor, Rudy, Rick, Raymond and sister Hilda. He leaves behind and greatly missed by his sons Arthur Rangel Jr., David and daughter-in-law Sophia. His grandchildren Audrina and Arthur Rangel III remember 'Umpa' with much love. His loving goddaughter Athena, his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School C/O 1975 where he then went on to pursue his Drafting degree. He retired from Blue Diamond Almond Growers after 37 years of service. His main passion was his family, from taking annual trips to Disneyland, camping, bike ridding he enjoyed the outdoors and building family traditions. Arthur found great enjoyment in collecting Hotwheels, detailing his truck and his newest toy a 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 30 from 5:00-8:00pm at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary 9189 E Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624. Mass will be Tuesday, July 1 at 3:00pm at St. Rose Catholic Church 5961 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95822. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards.
