Born in Battle Creek Iowa on Feb 26th 1929 and passed away while living in Grizzly Flat California on Sept 25th 2012. He served in the US Air Force for 3 years then becoming a union carpenter. Working for Streng Brothers for almost 20 years then for Benson and Cedar for 7 years.. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge. He was also very active in bowling. He and his wife of 62 years traveled exstensivley after he retired in 1986. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. Preceded into death by grandson Justin Woodard. Survived by wife Norma daughter and son in law Debbie and Bob Merrill, daughter Donna Woodard, son and daughter in law Steven and Kelly Baxter, son Stuart Baxter. A memorial service will be held at The Federate Church 1031 Thompson Way Placerville, CA 95667 on Oct 13th. He will be layed to rest at the Vetrans Memorial Cemetary in Dixon CA.
