 Sardar Gian Singh Gill left us too soon on November 14 2012 at age 82. He spent his final days comforted by his Brothers, Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren. Born on September 15 1930, in Majari Punjab to Sardar Basant S. Gill and Dhan K. Nagra. Predeceased by his wife Thakar K. Gill, his sister Udham K. Dehal and his brother Kabal S. Gill. Survived by his sister Swarn Kaur, and his brothers: Sewa S. Gill, Sucha S. Gill, and Nihal S. Gill. 4 children: Ajit S. Gill, Karnail S. Gill, Kamlesh K. Grewal, and Kamaljit K. Virk. 6 Grandchildren: Gurpreet S. Gill, Gurbinder S. Gill, Mandeep S. Gill, Sandeep S. Grewal, Garypal S. Virk, and Ranmeet K. Chatha. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Eileen K. Gill, Ashleen K. Gill, Armaan S. Gill, and Arbaaz S. Chatha. Gian Singh Gill was known by everyone as "Pitha Ji. "He was the epitome of knowledge and wisdom. He carried the entire family on his shoulders throughout his life. He will be forever remembered as an inspiration to everyone he met. Services will be held at North Sacramento Funeral Home on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 1 pm. (725 El Camino Avenue Sacramento, CA 95815)
