Teresa was born on March 11, 1956 to Anita and Alfonso DeHerrera, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 7, 2013 after fighting cancer for four years. It started as a few spots of melanoma that were easily removed with surgery. A little over a year later it resurfaced as tumors on multiple organs. She responded very well to chemotherapy and was eventually told she was in the clear. On November 21, 2012 she was rushed to the hospital with an excruciating headache. Later that evening she was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors.
She is survived by her devoted husband Mark, and her two daughters, Tenisha and Shelby. She also left behind her many horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. Her family is devastated with her sudden passing, believing that she would be around forever. She will be missed, forever and always.
Any remembrances can be made out to Kaiser Hospice, whose nurses and staff helped make the last few weeks of her life a little easier.
