JUSTUS, Mary Jane (Dix)
Passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, 02/05/2013, at the age of 80. She is now with loved ones that have gone on before her: parents George Henry Dix and Reth Lee (Swaim), brother Louis Dix, sister Emily Harkink, and 3 grandchildren Richard Gardner, Gary Cabelera and Misty Patterson (Cabelera).

Born on 05/31/1932 in San Fernando, CA, Mary lived most of her years in So. CA, raising her family while continuing her education to obtain the B.A. degree she was so proud of, and to become a Registered Nurse. She loved helping her patients get back on their feet and back home to their families. In 1999, Mary relocated to the Sacramento area where she continued her nursing career through a registry as a home health care nurse, helping those that were confined at home. She had other brief employment before fully retiring about 5 years ago.

Mary had many friends, had a generous heart to help the needy and will be greatly missed by her loving family.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Dix, her former husband Richard Justus who is the father of her six children: Mike (Patti) Justus, Cynthia (Mike) Durfee, Saundra (Ernesto) Hernandez, Linda (Carl) Beels, Denise (Rob) Teora, and Lisa (Jeff) Schoch. She loved all her grandchildren: Danielle Rodriguez, Sarah Justus, Megan Justus, Bob Gardner, Josh Gardner, Launa (Nick) Mulliken, Brian (Michelle) Wilson, Nicole (Jay) Bruklander, Rebecca (Jeff) Levine, Eric Beels, Andrew (Crystal) Cook and Kathryn Schoch. And her many great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Breanna, Morgan, Clarissa, Alexandria, Charlie, Lucy, Aubrey, Nolan, Mason, Tyler, Gary, Samantha, Emily, Jayden, Hayden and Tyler. Mary will also be missed by her dear friend Kay Wiley, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, all dearly loved by Mary.

In lieu of flowers, Mary prefers donations be made to Courage Worldwide, which provides a home for kids rescued from sex trafficking.
