Raul Martinez Gonzales, 80, of Sacramento, CA, passed away peacefully at his home. He will be reunited with his beloved father and mother, Juan and Francesca Gonzales. He will also be rejoining his sisters and brothers who are there to welcome him into the Gates of Heaven. He is survived by his loving wife Esperanza (Hopie) Gonzales of 56 years, loving father of Lois Carreon (Henry), Frances (Shorty) of North Platte, Nebraska, and Phyllis. Devoted grandfather to Raul, Gabriel, Delicia (David), Chino, Ursula, Xavier and Priscilla. Also devoted great-grandfather to David, Aliana, DeAngelo, Cali and Desmond. Raul leaves behind his siblings, Raymond Gonzales (Pat), Carmen Gonzales, David Gonzales (Linda) and Mazie Blanco (Ruben). He joined the Marines and served in the Korean War. Raul worked 40 years at the Campbell Soup Company. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies, going to the movies with his wife and spending time with his family. Raul was a devoted 49'ers fan. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, 1717 El Monte Avenue. Interment following at St. Mary's Cemetery. Arranged by GEORGE L. KLUMPP CHAPEL OF FLOWERS.
