Entered into eternal rest on the evening of July 19, 2013. Marva Jean Evans, wife of Bobby G. Evans of Sacramento, CA.

The relatives and friends of Marva and Bobby G. Evans are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM, Market Street SDA Church, 900 - 34th Street, Oakland, CA 94608. Visitation and viewing will be held Monday, July 29, 2013, 2-3 PM at Wilson & Kratzer, Civic Center Chapel, 455 - 24th Street, Richmond, CA 94804. Burial will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2pm, Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620.

Marva Jean Marlin was born in Cleveland, Ohio, January 4, 1940. Her 34 year nursing career started in the US Army Medical Corp. She earned her LVN license in 1965 and an AA degree in nursing from the University of North Las Vegas in 1977. Marva retired as a registered nurse in 1997 from the University of California Davis Medical Center. Among many hobbies, Marva had a passion for bowling. She often talked about the many friends she made and the good times she had during her league bowling.

Marva is survived by her spouse of 50 years Bobby; son, Lawrence Evans (Freda) of Richmond, CA; daughter, Sheila Evans of Antelope CA; daughter, Debra Evans of Sunnyvale, CA; granddaughter, Candice Evans of Sacramento, CA; brother, Melvin Marlin of Jamaica, NY; brother, Merwin Marlin, Sr. of Cleveland, OH; and her loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
