John H. Cooper, 79, passed away Fri- day, September 6, 2013, in Roseville after a long illness. He was predeceased by his wife of nearly 50 years, Arlene. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Madalene Rogers of Roseville; two sons, John D. Cooper (Kerri) of Napa and James R. Cooper (Junko) of Tokyo, Japan; a daughter, Jean E. Kramer (Karl) of Sydney, Australia; 10 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

John was born on August 26, 1934, raised in Enola, PA, and served in the Air Force. He and Arlene lived in the Philadelphia area where they raised their family and John was active in the church and the community as a Boy Scout leader and the PTA. John earned an MS in Engineering Science and Mathematics from Penn State Univer- sity, and during his career worked as an electronic engineer and manager. In 1979, John and Arlene relocated to California where John worked for Intel Corp. and MemTech Technology Corp. until his retirement in 1993. John worked in the forefront of the computer age, developing key solutions and technologies that we take for granted today. Among his many key inventions, he received a U. S. patent for wire cutting by means of electrical pulses. John was a loving, kind, and honorable man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Cochrane Wagemann, 103 Lincoln Street, Roseville.
