ALBERTI, Madeline 'Madge'
Born in Sacramento Nov. 9, 1919 and went up to Heaven to be with her husband Jim on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Madge passed away peacefully at Mercy McMahon Terrace with her loving family at her side. Madge was preceded in passing by her two sisters Minerva Duket and Rose Marie Frias. She is survived by her loving children Diane King (Bill), Jim (Debby), Liv Hamrah and Mindy Jung. She also leaves behind 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Madge retired after 34 years as a Supervisor for the Assembly Rules Committee-California Legislature. She stayed in touch with her co-workers by becoming a member of FLAIRS. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Parishs Altar Society and she received the Diocese of Sacramento Woman of the Year award in 2006. She loved being on their Holiday Boutique Committee until her late 80's.

Madge had many interests and hobbies which included playing Tripoli for over 50 years, being a member of the Raiders Booster Fan Club, making ceramics, painting, traveling by train, cruise lines, (everyone knew she hated to fly), and annual family trips to Aptos during Thanksgiving creating a tradition that will continue for years to come.

The family extends their thanks to the wonderful staff at Mercy McMahon Terrace especially the Nurses and RCA's all of whom she called 'her angels.' Also special thanks to staff from VITAS (Hospice) and Chaplain Ever Mesa during this time of need. Visitation will be on Wed, Oct 30 from 4 to 7pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7pm at Nicoletti Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. Mass of Christian burial to be held on Thurs, Oct 31, at 10 am at St. Ignatius Church, 3235 Arden Way, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VITAS: 2710 Gateway Oaks Drive, Sacramento, 95833.
