JAMES, John William 'Bill'
Born October 31, 1924 in Meriden, Kansas, passed away at a nursing home in Elk Grove, California on Saturday, November 9, 2013 with family at his bedside.
He was husband to Joanne for 66 years, many that were spent traveling with their R.V.
He was father to Dana Sloan and Cindee James, grandfather to Kimberley Hettrick (Josh), great-grandfather to Raina Jenkins and Gavin Hettrick. Brother to Melvin R. James of Topeka, Kansas.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from Pacific Telephone after 35 years of service and a member of free and accepted Masons of California Elk Grove Lodge No. 173.
Funeral service will be private. Burial will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
