Michael Lopez, born on December 11th 1925, passed away on November 14th 2013 in Los Altos, CA. Born in Winters, Michael attended high school in Davis, CA. He was the second of five children from a farming background. Michael was a paratrooper in WWII and helped General MacArthur fulfill his promise to return to the Philippines. While serving he was awarded a Purple Heart. Post WWII, Michael earned his bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and upon graduation moved on to work in the semiconductor industry. He found a home with Lockheed Missiles and Space where he spent 30 years. Michael's passing was preceded by that of his wife of fifty five years, Gloria. He is survived by two sons, Stephen (Molly) and Thomas (Amanda Hamilton); granddaughter, Isabella; nephews, Dennis Campos (Nancy), Dave Campos (Jan Martin); grandnephews, Paul Campos, Jake Campos and grandniece, Jessica Campos. Family and friends will gather for services at Spangler's Mortuary in Los Altos, CA on Friday the 22nd of November at 9:30AM. and/or church. Michael was a man who's word you could always take to the bank with interest. He will be dearly missed by all he touched.
