Our mother was an inspirational role model. She came from a hard working family. She worked in fields harvesting crops. She also worked on locomotives for the Southern Pacific Railroad. She was widowed at age 49. She attended Fremont Adult School and obtained her high school diploma. She went on to work for Sacramento County for 16 years as a Family Management Worker for Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services. She used her bilingual skills to assist many of her clients. She loved music, dancing, fashion, gardening, traveling, and socializing.
She was our best friend and soul mate. To the world she was one; to us she was the world. We would like to thank Home Instead Senior Care and Vitas Hospice for their loving care during her illness.
A visitation will be held on Sun., Dec. 15 from 1-4pm, with a Rosary at 4pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Mon., Dec. 16 at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1030 39th St, in Sacramento.
